My tastes in music shift somewhat drastically depending on the season and the weather, and I imagine that some of you are the same way.

I’m going to be leaving for Asia soon, and since I’ll be gone for an entire year, I’m going to be somewhat limited on the downloading tip. Therefore, I’m building a smooth-ass playlist that will keep me stoked and laid-back whilst backpacking and living on the beach. To be quite honest, I don’t foresee a lot of heavy dubstep or chaotic electrohouse being included on the ol’ ipod, so I’ve been downloading a lot of exceptionnal house music instead. The feeling of lying on a beach with the sound of the waves crashing in the backdrop is made exponentially better by having some great beats playing in your ears.

Today, I’ve included some of my most recent discoveries for your listening pleasure. As I seem to be in a really mellow mood these days, I’m featuring some jubilant hands-in-the-air house & disco. Just a little something to get your blood flowing.
