A groove packed EP from LA’s Secret Society has brought some flossy deep beats into play. 1trax has covered a range of deeper house assorted sounds since its inception in 2001 with early releases from the likes of Jesse Rose, John Dalback and a young Mark Knight among others.

I recently started to listen some of Jeremy Rose’s most recent work after discovering he was the uncredited producer behind some of The Weeknd most amazing tracks. To be more precise, the first three songs released by the Weeknd, “What You Need,” “Loft Music” and “The Morning” were all produced by Jeremy Rose after he and Abel randomly stumbled upon each other in Torontoa few years ago.

सुनेत्र SUNETRA, a producer from Dubai, produces totally different music with a huge influence of Seapunk genre and it’s heavy liquid sounds, as well as some varied hip hop beatmaking and sampling. Turns out his tumblr site and all his soundcloud tracks have been removed from internet, which is odd in itself.

We welcome this young and violently audacious Harlem emcee. Already featured on some of the most influential blogs, he is definitely one of the most engaged artists among the 2012 Hip-Hop recruits.
I’m usually not into Hip-Hop, but in spite of this, the delicious mix of cathedral voices, and deep, husky resumptions astonished and inspired me.
The self-directed video for song “Pierce” originally began as a fashion project before being associated with the music. The artist’s wild imagination is not only shown by the mix of kaleidoscopic orchids and screaming bleached women, but also by the contrast between the feminine aspect of the music and the video. The sensibility of Dominic Lord’s vibe seems to portray a certain aesthetic vision before the video stops to leaves us on a puzzling note. Abruptly stopping at the word “realize”, the video suggests that you might want to replay the video, step back, for you may find a whole different meaning behind this piece of art.

I recently came across this dope producer/artist/guitar player from Montreal among the the truckload of music submission we receive on a daily basis.
The artist is Chase Horseman, a.k.a Holysmokes, a 22 year old that left Vancouver a few years ago to establish Montreal and study Sound & Music Recording at Recording Arts Canada. Completely submerged into music since he was only 11, he is now a full time artist and founder of Reaktor Productions.
If you shuffle through his work, it won’t take time before you notice that the man is talented, and also extremely versatile. Here are my favourites :
